Gluten-Free Snack Mix

Ingredients

  • 3 cups gluten-free corn or rice cereal like Chex
  • 1 ½ cups gluten-free pretzels
  • 1 cup corn chips or gluten-free crackers
  • 1 cup pecans or other nuts
  • ¼ cup butter or dairy-free alternative
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon optional
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dried cranberries or raisins
  • Pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
  • Shredded coconut
  • Mini chocolate chips add after cooling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix dry ingredients (cereal, pretzels, chips, and nuts) in a large bowl.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter, then stir in brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Heat until bubbly.
  • Pour the warm syrup mixture over the dry ingredients. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  • Spread snack mix onto the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 40–50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until lightly toasted and caramelized.
  • Let it cool completely, then stir in any optional add-ins.

Notes

Storage:

  • Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to a week.
  • Can be frozen for longer storage—just thaw before snacking.

Snack Tip:

Want a spicier twist? Add a dash of cayenne or chili powder to the syrup mixture before baking.
